In case you haven’t heard the good news, the State of Georgia has allowed for all Nia Pediatric Dentistry locations to re-open!
We have certainly missed all our patients but we’ve taken this time off to prepare our office and staff to return in a safe manner.
We are currently working on contacting and rescheduling appointments for anyone that was missed during our closing, as well as taking new appointments.
Of course, things here will look a little different than the last time you saw us. We’ve put together this guide to help you and your child know what to expect for your next appointment.
We have enacted certain precautions throughout our offices that adhere to the recommendations for infection control set forth by the ADA, CDC, and OSHA. Although we have always maintained clean and safe offices, these guidelines help us to maintain a healthy environment during the Coronavirus pandemic.
Although we are excited to see you again, we do have a few requirements before you arrive. When you call to book an appointment, you will be sent a link to a screening questionnaire. We will ask about your recent medical history and that of anyone you live with as it pertains to the Coronavirus.
When You Arrive
We ask that you please do not visit us if you have been or are currently feeling ill, if an immediate member of your household is ill, or if you have been in contact with anyone that is ill in the past 14 days. We typically have a 24 hour cancellation notice requirement, but that is currently being waived. That being said, please do let us know as soon as possible if you are unable to make your appointment.
When it’s time for your appointment, please stay in your car and send us a text message. When we are ready for you, we will come out to your car to get you. Before we can allow you to enter the office, we will need to take your temperature. If cleared, we ask that only the patient come inside, if possible. If the appointment is for a kids orthodontist consultation or pediatric dental check-up, or if the patient needs special assistance, we allow for one additional family member to come in with the patient. Anyone over the age of five is required to wear a mask unless directly being worked on.
During the Appointment
Please have patience with us as we work to schedule appointments. We are doing our best to build a schedule that allows for proper social distancing in our offices. This also applies to reducing the number of people in our reception areas during open hours.
Please continue to wear a mask during the entire appointment time, unless you are in the dentist’s chair and actively receiving treatment.
We have also provided hand sanitizer throughout the office for your use.
